Katy Kat Makeup Review | August 2016

Hey, guys! I know that my main focus on this blog is blogging about books but today I have something completely new for you! I am part of a site called BzzAgent which is essentially a wonderful site and community. They send their members free products and samples in exchange for honest reviews of the products as well as the expectation to do a couple activities to get the word and excitement of the products out. I have recently been accepted into a campaign surrounding Katy Perry's new makeup line with Covergirl called Katy Kat. For this campaign, I received the Katy Kat Eye Mascara in the shade 850 Perry Blue and the Katy Kat Matte Lipstick in the shade Maroon Meow. I was really happy when I got accepted for this campaign and I can't wait for you all to see the before and after pictures! Before: Mascara

I'm not really sure I notice much of the blue in this mascara. It went on with hints of blue throughout with a black base colour and the way that it's advertised made it seem like it would go on with more of an electric blue shade... It may be that my natural hair colour is dark brown. I'm sure if a person with blonde hair applied this to their lashes, it would turn out much more blue. I really like this matte lipstick! I love the colour so much! The only thing I'd caution you about is to make sure your lips are completely smooth and free of dead skin before applying because since the product is so pigmented, the colour will really latch onto the flakiness. It took a few applications and attempts for me to get the colour exactly right due to this. Other than that it's great!
